At Blom Contracting, we believe in building stronger communities both through our work and by supporting organizations that make a lasting difference.

We are proud to contribute to causes like Habitat for Humanity, which works toward a world where everyone has a safe and decent home; Cystic Fibrosis Canada, which funds research and care with the vision of ending this life-shortening disease; and research efforts for Pelizaeus-Merzbacher Disease (PMD), a rare degenerative disorder affecting children and families. Closer to home, we support KidsAbility, which provides life-changing rehabilitation services to children with special needs across Waterloo Region and Guelph-Wellington, and the Family Violence Project of Waterloo Region, which ensures victims of domestic violence receive wrap-around support in a safe, compassionate environment.

After being in business for seven years, Nick Savauge wanted to expand his successful painting & renovation company. With a new focus on general contracting & building green, he partnered with his mom, Rita, & Blom Contracting Inc. was proudly born. The company name is a tribute to Rita’s father and Nick’s grandfather, Nick Blom, who passed away in 2008. Nick knew there was no better name than his grandfather’s to provide that lasting first impression of the company he and his mom founded. The honesty, integrity, respect for people, & strong work ethic that Nick Blom exhibited throughout his life represented everything the company would proudly stand for in every project they worked on.
