On time. Not usually two words you associate with a renovation, but that’s exactly what Blom Contracting was. Even when our start day was the middle of a snowstorm, they showed up before their 8:00 start time! Nick assured us our kitchen / bathroom reno would be completed in six weeks and it was. And ours was not a small job! We took out a wall on our main level and moved our kitchen to the other side of the room. Nick came up with some ideas we never would have thought of – one being to change out our colonial style bannister for an up to date one. We are so glad we did! As with any renovation, there were a couple issues along the way but they were handled immediately. Rita did a fantastic job getting us new hardwood nosing for our steps when we realized what was sent didn’t fit our vision. Of course these things always happen on a Friday but that new nosing was there by Monday already! We loved all the Blom employees and we received high quality workmanship from each of them. All the sub-contractors they have in place were friendly, efficient and did a great job. We would recommend Blom Contracting to anyone, their pricing is competitive and they go above and beyond. We are so happy with our new living space, thank you so much.

Blom did a massive renovation for us that involved our whole main floor (1000 sq ft) – it involved a wall coming down, two new structural beams, reconfiguring the powder room and mud room, a new doorway being added and a bay window shrinking to a smaller kitchen window. I was beyond thrilled with the work that they did. Nick was wonderful to work with – he was always quick to offer solutions to what seemed like roadblocks, and would offer budget-friendly options whenever possible. The kitchen designer who we worked with through Blom was incredible, as were all of the renovation technicians and sub-contractors who came in. Everyone was friendly, skilled and knowledgeable.

Most importantly, they stuck to the schedule and completed the reno ON TIME. No one believed my confidence that we would be back in the house as quick as we were, but in the end I had neighbours commenting on how often they saw the Blom trucks in our driveway. Nick and Rita truly care about their clients, and want to make the renovation process as painless as possible. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
